2 T canola oil per potato
Preheat oven to 350° F. Wash and thoroughly dry potatoes. Prick potatoes all over with a fork, then lightly rub each potato with oil. Season with garlic salt and place in the oven, directly on a middle rack. Place a sheet of foil on a rack below the potatoes to catch any drippings. Bake for an hour and 20 minutes.
Lots of ways to bake a potato, but this particular method has churned out consistently perfect, fluffy, delicious baked potatoes!
